Sabas Vargas

Like the other pallbearers, Sabas was once a resident at the Huntington House in Pop’s care.  Prior to that, he was a gang member at the age of 9. Now, he works as a slightly shifty criminal attorney in East Los Angeles and staffs his office (also his house) with clients (parolee types) who pay off their legal bills via labor.  His office is in a dangerous part of Los Angeles where parking out front can be an invitation to car theft.  Like Shane, Sabas feels guilt for not being there for “Pop” (as an adult) and wants to solve the mystery of “Pop’s” death to make up for the past.
